While not exactly official, this morning we got our first look at the J.J. Abrams-directed sequel to the Star Trek reboot. The image featured Spock, played by Zachary Quinto, taking down newcomer Benedict Cumberbatch with the patented Vulcan nerve pinch. But you don't think that somebody just decided to take one random snapshot, did you? That would be silly. Instead, now we have a full gallery of shots from the set.

So we have Spock, Uhura and the mystery villain, but where is the rest of the Enterprise crew? Surely Kirk, Bones, Scotty, Sulu and Chekov didn't let the duo go alone! If these photos are out there, chances are it won't be long until we spot the rest of the gang in their Starfleet get-ups.

The untitled Star Trek sequel is being directed by J.J. Abrams and is based on a script by Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman and Damon Lindelof. The returning cast also includes Chris Pine, Simon Pegg, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, John Cho and Anton Yelchin. Joining Cumberbatch as rookies to the francise are Alice Eve and Peter Weller, both of whom are still total mysteries. Obviously the film is still in production, but you'll be able to catch it when it hits theaters on May 17, 2013.
