Spoilerific X-Files 2 Images? Not So Much

A few weeks ago pictures from the set of X-Files 2 popped up online, and they turned out to be fake. Most believe they were images taken by people involved with the production, specifically to screw with us internet nerds. Now though, we here at Cinema Blend have what appears to be a real image straight from the X-Files 2 production, and boy is it a big spoiler. Proceed no further if you don’t want the movie ruined for you.

Still here? Good. If you saw the images that went around a few weeks ago, then you know they were shots of a guy in a rather cheesy looking werewolf costume. It was a fake, but maybe the idea of werewolves in X-Files 2 was real, because now we have this: A picture of Agent Mulder in mid-werewolf transformation. It showed up in my inbox this morning from a completely anonymous, unknown source; but included with it was a second image. A rather legitimate looking callsheet for X-Files 2. I can’t confirm whether this thing is real or not, but it sure seems real, and if it’s not someone has gone through an awful lot of trouble to fake it. Check out both images below, and tell me what you think:

UPDATE!: Well they did it again. As it turns out, this is yet another set of fakes being sent around deliberately by people involved with the production of X-Files 2, just to throw all of us on the wrong track. I think it’s safe to assume, after two rounds of this now, that one thing we know X-Files 2 absolutely will not be about, is Werewolves. The call sheet is most likely something Chris Carter’s people made up to look convincing, and the image of Duchovny wolfing out is actually a promotional still from his show Californication which someone did a bang up photoshop job on. I’ve dropped the Californication image they used below, just for comparison purposes. It’s one thing when internet trolls send out fake information on movies, it’s another when the people actually making the movie get in the business of screwing with their fans. Annoying, to say the least. Thanks to our sister site GFR, for digging up the Californication image.
