Spurlock Is A Class Act![]()
Morgan Spurlock may have gained a whole lot of weight for Super-Size Me, but he also gained a rock-solid career.
According to Hollywood Reporter, Spurlock is creating another documentary called Class Act, reteaming with executive producers Heather Winters and Joe Morley from his previous project. He will serve as executive producer, with Sara Sackner directing. Between the upcoming film, a second helping of his series "30 Days", and an imminent wedding to his girlfriend in Fiji, Spurlock's life is looking pretty darn good right about now. Class Act will focus on art education's fight to stay alive in America's public school programs. It centers on the important roles teachers play in children's lives (yes, even music teachers) and the benefits of creativity. Sounds like a documentary version of Music Of My Heart, but hopefully minus all the sappiness and drivel. And please, no NSYNC soundtrack. Art education is an important topic to Spurlock. "Arts programs are disappearing at an alarming rate in public school systems nationwide” he states. "It is my hope that 'Class Act' will draw attention to something that I believe to be one of the most important foundations of a child's growth.” I would have to agree. I'll take painting class over algebra any day. Frankly, painting is more beneficial in life. Gives you something to do when you retire. |
