Stalking Sundance![]()
The Sundance Film Festival, America's biggest film related event next to the Oscars, is officially in full swing. The festival got going on Friday, and now the Sundance channel is releasing video clips, photos, and other frothy, trendy items from the festival that none of us will probably ever be able to attend.
Actually in my case, even if I could I don't think I'd go. These clips have convinced me that there's no way I'll be "cool" enough to hang out with any of these people there, and what's more I don't want to. There's not a single person in any of these clips (especially the fashion one) that I'd be able to put up with standing next to for more than a minute or two. If I want pretentious snobbery in vintage women's clothes and gigantic fluffy boots I can get that in Dallas, I don't need to wade through Mormons to get it. Still, it's worth watching just for a look at what sort of films you're likely to see making waves in the world of Awards consideration in the coming year. Sundance is really the place that kicks most of these critically hugged awards contenders off, it's basically a meat market for awards whoring film. Below are links to Sundance's first batch of newly released video clips, one of which includes a scene from the already highly touted Steve Carell film Little Miss Sunshine, which we brought you word of earlier today here.
