Still hoping your input could make J.J. Abrams change his mind about what he's doing with your beloved Star Trek? Want the entire look of The Enterprise to change? Well, you time is running out. J.J. Abrams posted a message to the movie's Facebook page to say that the movie is pretty much finished-- "we should be totally locked next week." Then he makes a cute sci-fi joke to back it up: "Then we're going to flash-freeze it so it's totally fresh for you in May. I can't wait for you to see the movie. " Ha! Because movies can't go bad! Get it?

It's nice to know that there's a director out there who can actually finish a movie on time, given how Baz Luhrmann was editing Australia until the last minute, and even Doubt and The Reader were running right up until the finish line. Of course, J.J. Abrams has always seem nothing if not in complete control of his new franchise, so the wrap-up coming six months ahead of time is no surprise. Leaves us room to worry about something else-- and trust me, with all the other franchise reboots going on, there's plenty to stress over.
