Stargate Cast Makes A Movie![]()
This is an unusual story. Apparently the casts of the long-running (but only mildly successful) science fiction television series ‘Stargate SG-1’ and its spinoff ‘Stargate Atlantis’ aren’t feeling creatively fulfilled by their work on their respective tv shows. So while both series were on hiatus, the made a movie.
No it’s not a Stargate movie. Calm down fanboy. Instead, it’s a low-budget dark comedy called A Dog’s Breakfast. What’s more it must be at least kind of good, because MGM has bought the worldwide rights to it, presumably to release it. The disappointing news is that the film doesn’t involve any of the good ‘Stargate’ castmembers. By that I mean Ben Browder. No offense intended to ‘SG-1’s’ Christopher Judge and ‘Atlantis’ Rachel Luttrel who do star in the film. I just have this weird man-crush thing going on with Ben Browder. Blame ‘Farscape’. The $1 million movie, according to its official site, is about a guy named Patrick. “Patrick has always had a somewhat combative relationship with his little sister Marilyn. But when she brings home her new sci-fi-soap star fiancé Ryan, it's all out war. When Patrick fails to drive a wedge between the happy couple, he reaches for sharper instruments. Every family has a few skeletons in the closet; A Dog’s Breakfast is the nightmarishly funny mess Patrick makes when he tries to add another to his.” If you’re interested, and don’t mind seeing the nude cupping of male genitalia, click play on the video below to watch the film’s trailer. |
