Stars Dress Up For Disney Campaign![]()
Annie Leibowitz has enough clout that she can get her celebrity subjects to do pretty much anything when she photographs them. So maybe thats how shes gotten a bunch of famous faces doing something that’s so dorky it’s usually reserved for elementary schoolers on Halloween: dressing up like Disney characters.
Over at the Disney Parks webpage, you can see celebrities from Julie Andrews to Jennifer Lopez living out all sorts of Disney movies, from Snow White to Pocahontas. They’re all advertising campaigns, of course, but the photos are of an amazing quality, and evoke the original movies while making you laugh at the absurdity that is Oliver Platt dressed up as the Mad Hatter. My favorite of the bunch is the Peter Pan one, which features Gisele Bundchen as Wendy and Mikhail Baryshnikov as a jaunty Peter arriving in the window. And up there in the corner, sparkly and green? It’s Tina Fey as Tinkerbell! Not only is she a Tinkerbell in glasses, but she’s annoyed, of course. Remember all the time Tink spent trying to kill Wendy in the cartoon? You can call the photos corny or overdone or whatever, but you can’t deny how much fun it must have been just to participate in the photoshoots. It’s nice to see that people have a sense of humor about themselves, though Roger Federer starring as King Arthur might be a better example of a huge ego. Anyway, check out a few below or head over to the website and pick your favorites-- though if you don’t pick Tina Fey, I will be silently judging you. |
