Steve Carell's career is taking off, and I'm sure he ain't complaining.

According to Variety, New Line has scooped Carell up for a comedy written by George Wing (50 First Dates). The movie is tentatively titled High T, about a man who starts taking testosterone shots. The injections cause his behavior to swing out of control, from hysterical crying fits to aggressive spurts. Sounds like how I act one week out of every month.

. The film sounds like a way to play up Carell's physical comedy abilities, since he is quite the wacky jokester. I don't care if I am the only person who finds it funny, but NBC's "The Office" is a hilarious show, due in great part to his foolish jerkiness. The 40 Year Old Virgin is getting great early buzz and should be a hit at the box office. Not like that's necessarily saying much considering Dukes Of Hazzard recently made a slew of money. Is there no justice in the world?

High T will be produced by Bob Cooper through Landscape Entertainment, based at New Line. They are currently developing other comedic flicks like I know that you know that I know with Jim Carrey. He better look out, before Carell steals his thunder.
