Sitting here watching the box office totals build, you don’t always really get a feel for just how completely Avatar has occupied our pop culture consciousness. It’s even wormed it’s way into the NBA, where most players favorite movies begin and end with Scarface. But the Phoenix Suns have stopped bouncing basketballs around long enough to get interested Avatar. Maybe too interested.

MVP point guard Steve Nash made his directorial debut on the team’s plane recently, when he covered shooting guard Leandro Barbosa in blue paint, and then sent him to terrorize everyone on board by re-enacting moments from Avatar.
