Suicide Squad Gets Going At Warner Bros.![]()
The assorted crusaders and rogues of Watchmen are dark heroes, sure, but they're the good guys for the most part. For some real team of villains action, we'll have to go to Suicide Squad, a DC Comics property set for adaptation at Warner Bros.
Variety reports that Sherlock Holmes producer Dan Lin has been assigned to shepherd the project, which is based on a comic series that debuted in 1959 and was launched as a full-fledged series in 1987. The squad is made up of famous and unknown villains alike, who are allowed out of jail to accomplish tasks deemed too dangerous for superheroes. The usual superhero rivalries and interpersonal conflicts pop up, but given that these guys are honest-to-God villains, tempers probably wind up flaring even more often. |
