In the wake of the Sundance Film Festival you might've heard a thing or two about a movie called Cyrus, a romantic comedy that earned near-universal praise at the festival, and which I called "the most charming and hilarious and truthful romantic comedy I've seen in age." Seriously, I fell in love with it, and have been dying to see it again.

And now I know when I'll get the chance! Fox Searchlight has announced that Cyrus will open in limited release on July 9, with an expansion presumably to follow once urban audiences spread the word about how great it is. Sharp-eyed moviegoers might remember that this is roughly the same release date given (500) Days of Summer, another Fox Searchlight Sundance movie that didn't do too badly for itself with audiences.
