Every time I start getting depressed about X-Men 3 again (and if you want to be really depressed, a new trailer debuts during "24" tonight), I've only to flip over to any random image from Superman Returns to cheer myself right up. Singer's movie looks simply gorgeous, and anyone finding fault with the project is usually someone who just doesn't like Superman to begin with. Tell them to shut up.

To keep the great Supes mojo going, Warner Brothers has sent us six more beautiful images from the film, to add to our already massive gallery of Superman Returns stills. Every one of them is art. Actually, with this latest batch I think it just jumped up to the number one slot on my most anticipated movies of 2006 list. Not that the competition was that fierce.
