Superman Returns Teaser Faked image
It almost seems to early for a teaser… and it is. Several people tonight emailed me a link to something claiming to be the first trailer for the highly anticipated Bryan Singer movie Superman Returns. It's not very convincing. It looked too… cheap so I started digging around.

The first major place to run it looks like it was Empire Online. They trumpet it as the real deal, but a look on their message board shows their readers to be a lot less convinced. Then there's AICN, who puts forward the idea that this is actually just footage edited together from some of the stuff shown at Comic Con. That actually makes sense.

There's no official confirmation or not on whether this teaser is fake, but odds are it's junk. Singer has to be putting together something more impressive than this fuzzy collection of images and floating text. In fact, count on it. Don't get me wrong, this actually has a nice, welcome back feel to it. If it were the teaser I wouldn't be terribly dissapointed. But it isn't. It can't be. Can it?

Instead, we've got something we KNOW is real. A new picture from the set of Superman Returns via Newsweek. Click here to read their article and I've posted the pic along with this story.

For the curious, check out the almost certainly fake teaser trailer for Superman Returns via the link below.
