The marketing campaign for Superman Returns so far has been nothing short of spectacular. They're eager to show you what the movie's got, and haven't been shy about showing off great images from the film… and by all accounts it is a damned good film. Last week, before the studio inexplicably panicked and had them pulled, there were twenty-eight early reviews of Superman Returns up on RottenTomatoes. All 28 were glowingly positive.
If I've any complaint about what we've been given for Superman Returns in the way of pre-release buzz, it's the complete lack of decent wallpapers. Alright, who cares about wallpapers. But for me, it's my most anticipated movie of the year, and I'd like to appropriately decorate my desktop. Till now, all the wallpapers released for the film have been pretty lackluster; generic stills with a Superman logo hastily slapped on them.
With the film only a couple of weeks a way, Warner Bros. has finally come through with proper desktop decoration. They've released a new batch of beautiful, Superman Returns wallpapers to us, along with dozens more stills from the movie.
