Disney’s High School musical franchise will attempt to make the transition from small screen to big screen this year, when High School Movie 3: Senior Year enters theaters on October 24th. While I’m much too old to understand all the hoopla over this thing, and much too young to have kids excited about it, I have to say… it looks like Disney is on the right track.

The challenge in transitioning a made for TV project to the cinema is in finding a way to make it cinematic. Judging from the new pictures Disney has just released from the film, they’re on the right track. Some of these images are downright sharp. Glossy, gorgeous even. Plus, I have a weird weakness for bowler hats. I don’t wear them mind you, I just wish I could.
