Susan Sarandon Can't Do It Alone![]()
The Banger Sisters has pretty much destroyed the careers of both Susan Sarandon and Goldie Hawn. Since co-starring in the bomb together in 2002, Sarandon hasn’t had a hit film or anything approaching a critical success and Hawn hasn’t been in anything, period. That may be a bit harsh on the where-are-the-groupies-now film since Hawn didn’t have much of a career before The Banger Sisters and Sarandon did have a modest box office success with a supporting role in Step Up.
Sarandon has decided she’s had enough with the post-Banger blues and is going to star with her daughter, Eva Amurri in Middle of Nowhere as we reported here. But even a washed up actress and her coattail riding daughter can’t do it themselves, so Variety says they’ve added some non-relative actors to the cast. Joining in the romantic-comedy will be Anton Yelchin, who was in “Huff” and did a nice job as the kidnapped younger brother in Alpha Dog. Also aboard is Justin Chatwin who was the son in War of the Worlds and starred in the bomb, The Invisible. Willa Holland from “The OC” is also signed up. Clearly, this trio will not command top dollar, so it’s Sarandon and daughter that will carry the burden on this film. |
