Hilary Swank has come a long way since being canned from the teen soap opera “90210”. Embarrassed that she would never work again, she instead went on to land 2 Oscars for Boys Don’t Cry and Million Dollar Baby. Twice-shafted Annette Bening must have a dartboard with her face on it somewhere.

According to Production Weekly, Swank has signed to star in PS, I Love You, a film based on Cecelia Ahern’s bestseller. Richard LaGravanese recently directed Swank in Freedom Writers, and he will helm this project as well.

The story is about a young Irish widow, who is left to grieve when her husband dies. As she tries to put the pieces of her life back together, she starts receiving monthly letters that he wrote to her before he died, helping her to overcome her grief. Wow, and I thought I was organized.
