Tag Is It![]()
Sick of all the usual horror clichés? Universal has at least one unique horror project in the works. They’re adapting an obscure horror comic book called “Tag” into a feature film.
I’ve never heard of it, and information on it is scarce. But the description from the publisher, Boom! Studios, is interesting: “When an average joe strolls down the street after a fight with his girlfriend, a random stranger TAGS him, handing off an ancient pagan curse! Now he's literally dead – and rotting – as he sees his body begin to decompose every day before his very eyes. Cursed, he must either surrender, or find the next victim to TAG.” Unique idea. At least it’s not another serial killer movie or more torture porn. The book is written by comic book vets Keith Giffen and Kody Chamberlain, and the first issue only appeared on store shelves this year. The Hollywood Reporter says Universal has hired first timer Carey Malloy to turn the comic into a script. |
