Take A Look Inside The New Daily Planet From Zack Snyder's Man Of Steel

While Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man apparently won't feature Peter Parker's place of work, The Daily Bugle, Zack Snyder's Man of Steel will continue the tradition of having Clark Kent as a journalist for the Daily Planet. Obviously this isn't news, as we've known Lois Lane (Amy Adams) and Perry White (Laurence Fishburne) will be in the movie for quite some time now, but what is significant is that today we have our first look at the newspaper's headquarters. Check out the image below or full size over on io9.

What's funny about this is that the building they are using for the exterior shots of the Daily Planet is Chicago's Board of Trade building. Why is that funny? Because the Board of Trade building was also used by Christopher Nolan as the outside of Wayne Enterprises in both Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. It looks like the symbol for the paper hasn't changed much - it's still a globe with a banner across it - though the layers are a new and interesting touch.

Starring Henry Cavill, Michael Shannon, Russell Crowe, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Antje Traue, Julia Ormond, Harry Lennix, and Christopher Meloni, Man of Steel is set to hit theaters on June 14, 2013.
