Quentin Tarantino may not make a lot of movies, but when he does, they are always memorable. He takes his sweet time choosing projects and then even longer perfecting them—the sign of a true pro.

Now, the world’s coolest dork has landed a role in the film Sukiyaki Western: Django, directed by Takashi Miike. He made the very disturbing movie Audition, about a crazy girl with odd ways of torturing men. Let’s just say that after seeing it, you won’t be able to get the grating “tee-tee-tee-tee” sound out of your head, try as you might.

ComingSoon reports from Screen Daily that the film is considered Japan’s first true western. The title pays tribute to the spaghetti western character Franco Nero, who became famous in the 1960s.

Subtitle-haters, don’t worry: the film will be shot entirely in English, by Japanese actors that survived extensive English courses over 2 months. Tarantino will join Hideaki Ito, Koichi Sato, Kaori Momoi, Yusuke Iseya and Masanobu Ando, but his role has not been specified.

Shooting will conclude at the end of November.
