I wasn't really aware that The Lovely Bones was the kind of movie that earned Twilight or Transformers-level anticipation. Sure, it's made by Peter Jackson, has a big cast and is based on a best-selling novel, but it seems more like Oscar-bait than box office gold. Still, it's getting the tentpole treatment, with a teaser for the teaser showing up on Entertainment Tonight.

Yes, a teaser for a teaser-- you know, that obnoxious thing where they show brief snippets of the film while an obnoxious anchor intones about the movie's plot. Still, it's the first time we've seen any footage for the film, which is exciting. The actual trailer will debut on ET tonight, and will hit the web in high-res form not long after that. If you want to be the first to see Saiorsie Ronan get to heaven, though, watch the ET clip below.

The Lovely Bones, adapted from Alice Sebold's novel, is about a murdered young girl (Ronan) who watches her family and the neighbor who killed her (Stanley Tucci) from heaven. The film also stars Susan Sarandon, Mark Wahlberg and Rachel Weisz, and comes out December 11.
