Teaser Poster: Taking Woodstock
Yeah, Rolling Stone isn't what they used to be, but they have a powerful nostalgia factor that us online creatures have to envy. And it only makes sense that they would be the first to get the poster for Taking Woodstock, Ang Lee's new movie set during the festival that really only Rolling Stone could cover as it happened.
You can check out the way-psychedlic poster below, a deliberate throwback to the artwork of that time and maybe an attempt to make you feel so dizzy that you think you're on acid. I like the way that images from the film are collaged in there, and that you really, really have to look hard to read the tagline. That's probably the point-- there are no posters out there that look like this, and you're going to stop and stare to figure out what the hell is going on. I was already excited about this movie, but creative artwork like this makes me even more confident that the people behind it know what they're doing. Check it out below. ![]() |
