Teaser Trailer For Cameron Crowe's Pearl Jam Documentary Tells The Origin Of The Band's Name image
Back in 2009, Pearl Jam released the first single off of their new album, Backspacer. A song called "The Fixer," the song was promoted with a music video directed by none-other-than Cameron Crowe. The choice of director made perfect sense, as Crowe has been working on a then-untitled documentary about the band, from their start in Seattle, Washington to their twentieth anniversary. Now Spin has posted the film's first trailer.

As much a clip as it is a teaser - it clocks in at only 33 seconds and all of the footage is taken from one scene - the video doesn't tell us much about the film, but it does quickly explain the origin of something important: the band's name. It's a fun little trailer, but hopefully we get something a little more substantial in the run up to the film's release in September.

Check out the trailer below.
