Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 Super Bowl Trailer Finally Reveals Krang

While the last Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie wasn't exactly well-regarded by the critics, it did produce giant piles of cash at the box office. Since review scores do not create sequels, and money does, we find ourselves with a Super Bowl spot for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows. You can check out that new footage below:

For an entire generation, the 1980’s cartoon series is what most fans think of when they remember the Ninja Turtles. While Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles basically ignored that part of the characters history, the latest official look at the sequel, courtesy of the film's YouTube page, appears to be going all in with nostalgia. This is thanks to the inclusion of Bebop, Rocksteady, and Baxter Stockman, and so far all these characters look familiar to a large part of the Super Bowl audience. But the big sticking point for the latest ad to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows is that it shows the first look at an old foe for the Turtles. Behold, your first look at Krang!

Krang

With the confirmation only coming last month that Krang was even going to appear in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, details were given that he wouldn't look like his usual tentacle laden self. While we naturally don't have a clear look at the big bad brain box from Dimension X, the small glimpse we have looks more like the face of a little old man, and not an alien mind. Though, to be fair, that little old man still looks quite creepy and menacing.

If that’s not enough to get fans excited, there's also some quick looks at other fan favorites returning, such as Casey Jones. This time around, Arrow actor Stephen Amell has traded in his usual archery gear for a hockey stick and puck, and he looks to have taken to the change rather nicely. Though if you're afraid Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows straying too far from the Michael Bay produced formula, the pre-requisite number of explosions and Megan Fox shots should more than make up for that feeling. Either way, fans new and old are going to have something to look forward to at the theaters this summer!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows will arrive in theaters this June.
