Firstly if you have some prime advertising real estate and you can't show what you want, you show the next best thing. But no, they just pulled it without regard. Strange no? Secondly, as we pointed out before, they took their sweet time in changing their minds after the announcement. Two days in fact, during which they must have suddenly decided that people weren't ready to see the clip which they had promised them. Thirdly, they've done the exact same thing before with their promotional posters, going after images which they must only assume will cause waves with the MPAA. Fake anti-hype is old news. But at least when Hitchcock had ambulances outside the theatre, it was funny. Well now the clip in question has finally showed up on You Tube via Filmstalker in all it's gore glory. And the R-Rated clip, which for some reason wasn't allowed to be shown in front of an R-Rated movie, is apparently suitable to be televised on Spike TV's Scream Awards. Hmm... my bullshit detector just exploded. Switch yours off before watching below. |
