That's Incredible!

BtthhhhhhhStar Wars fans know trailers.

When the first peek of Episode I came out, the internet slogged to a halt as billions of hits came to the Star Wars website as everyone and their brother attempted to download the teaser. People went to movies they'd ordinarily never see just to catch the quick peek at a time long, long ago, in a galaxy far, far away. Heck - I sat through Rugrats: The Movie just because I knew it was on a THX screen and that made it likely the trailer would play.

For Episode II the trailer was announced ahead of time - it would be released in November (like the Episode I trailer) attached to the Pixar film Monsters, Inc. With the burn that Episode I lay to fandom, more people were probably interested in Pixar's little movie, but the trailer was still great fun.

Well, Episode III is just around the corner and good ol' George Lucas has confirmed the trailer will appear in November as the previous two have. Word has it, that the likely place to look for the teaser will be with this year's Pixar flick, The Incredibles, which like Star Wars stars Samuel L. Jackson. All the word on the street seems to indicate Episode III will redeem the Star Wars franchise to fans who have suffered through Jar Jar Binks and and Hayden Christenson's forced tears.

After the game of three-card monte that was the Batman Begins trailer, don't put all your hope in Pixar's picture just yet. However, you were going to see The Incredibles anyway, weren't you? So think of this as a potential bonus.
