I can’t be the only one who saw this coming. We’ve been hearing talk of an Arrested Development movie for at least four or five years now. They’ve taken too long to get it done, wasted too much time, and now, it’s not going to happen. Or at least that’s what David Cross thinks.

When asked about the movie by TV Squad Cross had this to say: “Way too much time it's been… I mean, there's so many people involved. Everyone's doing their own thing, you know. And everybody's aged. It's just not going to happen. I'm sure I speak for everybody when I say we'd love for it to happen, we'd love to work on it, but just I don't think... not going to happen.”

Fans will remember that Cross played the never-nude Tobias on the television show. He’s a key member of the cast and should know what he’s talking about. And really, all signs have been pointing to this for months. The movie’s been delayed over and over again and no one has ever really seemed ready to do more than tease us with the possibility of a movie. At one point it was supposed to shoot this year but back in March Jason Bateman announced that it had been delayed again. Now the Arrested Development movie has been delayed right out of existence.
