You gotta go with what works for you. In Blair Underwood’s case, he’s no longer wants to be a “what’s his name?” and “where have I seen him?” actor and plans to step behind the camera to direct Ving Rhames in The Bridge To Nowhere, reports Variety.com . The script, penned by nobody Chris Gutierrez, spins the yarn of four blue-collar workers who enlist the help of a prostitute to create a high-priced escort service.
At this point, it’s hard to say if this is a worthwhile project. Like most first timers, Underwood has cut his directorial teeth on a number of music videos and a short The Second Coming, which tackles the touchy subject of Jesus. It seems that Underwood is not afraid to take controversial subjects head on. So, there is an air of hopefulness around this project of new comers, but the chips are stacked against them.
