San Diego Comic-Con is right around the corner and, as my first year attending, I couldn’t be more excited. One of the films I’m looking forward to hearing about the most is Watchmen. Some people are getting a jump on the Comic-Con news though. Our friends over at Collider got a sneak peek of what we can expect at Comic-Con when they met Zack and Debbie Snyder at last night’s Saturn Awards presentation.
More importantly than what we’ll see at Comic-Con (we’ll get to that in a minute), since not everyone gets to go to SDCC, is the confirmation that the first teaser trailer for Watchmen will indeed be attached to The Dark Knight. Now when you go to see the sequel to Batman Begins, not only will you get all sorts of new Batman goodness, but also your first peek at next year’s big comic book movie. Sweet!
As far as the SDCC presentation goes, Debbie Snyder says to expect to see a few minutes of the film. Even cooler than that, however, is that Nite-Owl’s ship will be at SDCC for everyone to see. Also expect some new Watchmen swag – although what form that may be (buttons or something else) isn’t disclosed.
Check out Collider’s interview over here, with hints about the movie’s running time, expectations for the DVD, and brief discussions of getting what could be another legendary movie made.
