Call me stupid, call me slow, heck call me Susan for all I care, but sometimes I just don't get it. The MPAA have apparently wreaked their havoc down upon the new poster for The Hills Have Eyes 2. Call the Photoshop Police.
The original poster, shown in the upper half of the accompanying image features a fully furnished body-bag being dragged by our friendly neighborhood nuclear mutant. Some of you may be horrified upon close inspection to find a hand protruding from the tail end of the bag implying that the person is being dragged against their will and, contrary to common assumption, not as part of some underpriced fairground ride. Have no fear. The MPAA can smell your horror and has swiftly moved to have the offending limb removed from the image.
The second image, as illustrated in the lower half to the right, should be much more suitable for general consumption. We hope you and your family look forward to many fond memories chewing the fat over what is surely to be a discussion center-piece straddling mantelpieces across the world. Ahhh, there... much better.
What in the name of Judge Reinhold are these fat cats putting in their cigars? Come the hell on. I understand that they are not necessarily required to explain themselves, but I sure hope that the guys behind the film lay upon us the supreme logic behind this masterpiece of an exercise in sanitization. I'm dying to hear why exactly Mother Palm and her 5 daughters were just too much to take but Jack Black & Kyle Gass can get thier asses out no questions asked. Don't get me wrong, the poster isn't all that jaw dropping anyway, but why oh why do the MPAA insist on throwing their clout around just to remind us they're still there?
