The Invasion Puts Up A Poster
I’m a big fan of the original Invasion of the Body Snatchers so it’s a bit of an understatement to say that I’m not excited about another remake, especially one putting Nicole Kidman front and center as the woman uncovering the truth about an alien invasion (Donald Sutherland led a previous remake in 1978). Still, excited or not, the picture is coming, so we might as well give you news about it.
In today’s case, the news is a new poster for The Invasion. The previous poster was just a note from one character to another: “don’t go to sleep, don’t go home, I’ll find you.” From the look of the trailer, sleep is when the aliens take over the body, so staying awake is ever so important. The new poster (there on the right – click on it for a larger look) at least gives a look at the film’s stars. I have to admit I like the red/white color scheme. It feels a little connected to the Kevin McCarthy version, although beating that classic is going to be tough. The Invasion hits theaters August 17th. |
