The Museum Of Supernatural History: Not A Location, A Movie![]()
These days if you want to get your blog turned into a book or movie, you're gonna need more than a gimmick-- you need a killer name to go with it. Luckily The Museum of Supernatural History has both, and Hollywood has taken notice; THR reports that DreamWorks is planning to turn the whole thing into a movie.
Ernest Lupinacci, the webmaster of the site that reports on things like time-travelers tampering with the Large Hadron Collider or sightings of Sasquatch and the Loch Ness Monster, will produce the film. He told THR that the "inherent drama" of his mission to document the unusual "is that every time we shatter or even question an accepted belief, we have the potential to answer the eternal question, why are we here?" He is ignoring the fact that people like hearing about weird shit, and he has a great title to get people to come see a movie about it. There are so many things to like about this story-- the fact that the museum's abbreviation is Musunahi, the fact that the Large Hadron Collider may finally be memorialized on film, and the very notion that blogs can still become movies. There's hope for Cinema Blend yet! |
