The One Thing Oscar Got Right![]()
I think we’ve all had enough time now to come to a consensus on this year’s Oscars: It sucked. The nominees were boring, Ellen Degeneres is not funny, and the whole thing dragged on forever. But there was one real bright spot in the evening. A moment so brilliant, that even though the event crashed and burned, it’ll likely be long remembered as one of the funniest things ever to hit the Oscar stage.
If you missed it, I’m talking about the musical number performed by Will Ferrell, Jack Black, and John C. Reilly. It’s not just funny, in an ironic twist it does a good job of pointing out what so consistently goes wrong with the entire evening. The Academy Awards need more comedians The Oscars need more people capable of being funny up there on stage. People like these guys: |
