The Other Boleyn Girl Found

By Scott Gwin: 2006-07-18 00:00:00
The Other Boleyn Girl Found The lead trio of The Other Boleyn Girl is complete. Eric Bana, who will play King Henry VIII, and Natalie Portman, slated to play Anne Boleyn, will be joined by Scarlett Johansson. Johansson will play Anne's sister, Mary.

For those of you not up to speed on your 16th century English history, Mary and Anne were two sisters who both vied for the romantic attention of Henry VIII. Henry, being a red blooded man with almost absolute power, of course returned the affections of both, a situation that caused him some complications with the other almost absolute power in the land, the Pope. While Anne was known for being deceptive and manipulative with her men, Mary was considered the promiscuous one, purportedly getting it on with enough members of the English aristocracy to make Heidi Fleiss blush.

If you want to know how it all played out, Google search it now. In a couple of months the only thing you'll easily be able to find on Anne Boleyn will relate to the movie. You gotta love the internet. Based on the novel by Phillipa Gregory, the movie is due out in 2007.
