At some point in the midst of Cinema Blend’s Oscar live blog last night, someone remarked that the evening’s endless movie montages for films which weren’t even nominated for an Oscar seemed more like clips from the Razzies than clips from the Oscars. Boy were they dead on. Mamma Mia, The Love Guru, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and numerous other crummy films made appearances during last night’s Academy Awards telecast… at almost the very same time they were winning Razzies.

The Golden Raspberry Awards were handed out this past weekend, dishonoring the very worst in the year’s films. The Love Guru and Paris Hilton’s direct to dvd movie The Hottie and the Nottie earned the most dishonor while other things, like Pierce Brosnan’s godawful singing in Mamma Mia got what they fucking deserved.
