Well grease me down and call me Julie, doesn't the interweb work fast?!

It was only this morning that Prison Break star Dominic Purcell was being interviewed on WPLJ New York when presenters Scott Shannon and Todd Pettengill cornered him like a lost child. They posed him a question he seemed to be caught off guard with: "Hey Dom, there was also a rumour you may be playing the Incredible Hulk in the sequel. Any truth to that?" To which he instantly responded by switching to panic mode and wittily replied: "Urmmmmmmmmmmmmm..... I dunno man, maybe who knows? ... It could be yeah."

Combined with the recent news of Transporter director Louis Leterrier being placed at the helm by Marvel, this movie seems to be picking up steam and there may well be alot more going on behind closed doors that we are aware of.

However you interpret Purcells reaction, one thing which cannot be denied is that it's a million miles away from dismissive. It's rather obvious he's at least had talks with the producers regarding the role and he's keeping his cards close to his chest.

As has happened with every casting decision of late; from Hitman's Agent 47, to The Dark Knight's Joker and Two Face, discussion is already underway as to his suitability. Two camps seem to be facing off. In the red corner are those who think he's a fantasically broody persona to take on the role and give life to that unbridled HULK SMASH! we've been hearing so much about. In the blue corner are those who will never forgive him for Blade: Trinity and think he'll never pass for a scientist. For some reason all I'm getting is images of Rainier Wolfcastle's Undercover Nerd.

Hear the interview for yourself right here over at Ain't It Cool News who host the audio.

Do you think he's hiding something?
