A full trailer for The Runaways has arrived and it’s not all Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning running around smashing stuff! Well, a little of that, but there’s some actual footage in this one as compared to the teaser. The video actually portrays the film as being Cherie Currie’s (Fanning) more so than Joan Jett’s (Stewart).

The Runaways is two for two with trailers and it’s really having a strong influence on me. There’s a natural tendency to scoff the film because it keeps Stewart in her typical angsty teen role, but hey, that’s what it calls for. As for Fanning it seems as though the older she gets the wider her range grows. Even with my enthusiasm for the leading duo, it would have been nice to get somewhat of a look at the rest of the band like Scout Taylor-Compton as Lita Ford and Alia Shawkat as Robin Robins (some sort of version of Micki Steele.) Oh well, they’ll have to wait until the film gets its limited release on March 19th, or until it opens wide on April 9th. Regardless, the trailer is quite good.
