In only 11 days the nominations for this year's Academy Awards will be announced. Thanks to the ridiculous politics of the whole awards show, it's nearly impossible to determine precisely which films will get recognition in what categories, but one thing that certainly helps are other award shows. Enter the Critics Choice Awards.
Hosted by the Broadcast Film Critics Association, the ceremony has boasted has been quite good at anticipating the films to be selected by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and if that holds up this year, then The Social Network is going to have a blast come February 27th. The David Fincher-directed film took home four awards total, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Score. Besting that number was Christopher Nolan's Inception, however, with six total wins, taking home the prize for Best Cinematography, Best Art Direction, Best Editing, Best Visual Effects, Best Sound, and Best Action Movie.
