The Spirit has a new trailer, and it’s the first video from the movie we’ve seen in awhile which doesn’t look like complete and total ass. A few days ago Samuel L. Jackson painted the movie as some sort of roadrunner cartoon, with him playing the part of Wil-E-Coyote. There are subtle signs of that in this particular trailer, which while it gets a little goofy, does mostly do a decent job of taking itself seriously.
Which is the real Spirit? Is it a sharp, Sin City wannabe? A disjointed, female obsessed reject from the 1930s? Or is it Looney Tunes? You decide. Watch the trailer below, courtesy of Moviefone.

I think the trailer does its job - it makes me want to see the movie.
"I'm gonna kill you all kinds of dead." Great FM stuff!
I know it looks a lot like Sin City, but I liked SC - so if this has cool characters, fun dialogue and good action, then I'm sure I'll like it too.
