Early this morning we got our first official look at the live action Smurfs movie and now, right on its heels we have the first teaser trailer.

Posted by Yahoo, the video couldn't be any more awful or typical if it tried. There is a dramatic voice-over, white-on-black title cards, "Wild Thing" by Tone Loc, and views of monuments around the world. Oh, and all of the monuments are turning blue. Woo. The clip, running at just under a minute, has less than 10 seconds of the tiny blue creatures and no dialogue. You almost expect a tagline in the realm of "This ain't your parents Smurfs." How the hell did they rope Neil Patrick Harris into promoting this shit?
