The Thing Set For October 14 Release Date![]()
When Universal didn't just push back the release date for their horror prequel The Thing but pushed it back entirely, it was worrying news for fans of the original who had feared the prequel would ruin what was good about John Carpenter's original film. Then the film's producer stepped in to explain the delay was so they could make the effects extra-great, and the worries turned into simple anxiety for the movie to come out, and soon.
Now we know exactly how much longer we're going to have to wait. Universal tweeted yesterday that The Thing is now set for an October 14 release date next year, an appropriately spooky date for a movie about researchers encountering a mysterious alien creature in Antarctica. If you want to learn a whole lot more about The Thing, including our visit to the film's Toronto set over the summer, check it all out in the Blend Film Database. |
