The Whistleblower Trailer Has Rachel Weisz Fighting Corruption![]()
Back in 2005 Rachel Weisz won an Oscar for her performance in the Fernando Meirelles film The Constant Gardner. In the film, Weisz played an activist who, while trying to take of the poor and sick in Africa, is brutally murdered, leaving her husband to find out exactly what's going on behind the scenes. In The Whistleblower, the actress isn't leaving the job to her spouse: she's doing it herself.
Based on the true story of Kathryn Bolkovac and DynCorp International, Weisz stars as a police officer that takes a job in post-war Bosnia as a peacekeeper. Trying to do her job and help people, she quickly learns of an incredible amount of corruption that includes sex trafficking of young children. Disgusted by what she's seen, she tries to uncover the whole business, but is met with incredible resistance from those who have everything at stake.
