The cast on Doug Liman's teleportation movie Jumper is shaping up. Hayden Christensen and Samuel L. Jackson have long been confirmed as the leads, and now Fox is rounding out the rest.
The Hollywood Reporter says seventeen year-old Max Theriot has been cast in the film to play a younger version of Hayden. You might remember him as Gus in Catch that Kid or as one of the brood in Vin Diesel's The Pacifier.
As a kid, he looked more like Jake Lloyd than Hayden Christensen, which gives the whole thing a bizarre, and I'm sure unintentional sort of symmetry.
Not that it really matters who plays young Hayden. It's probably a minor part. The film however looks better all the time, and should give Hayden a chance to finally prove to people he can act. Strange to think that after all this time the jury's still out on that.

Try watching Life As A House or Shattered Glass; those prove he can act.
