Thomas Jane is not, I repeat not, doing another Punisher movie. Even though he's reuniting with Punisher writer Tim Bradstreet for Devil's Commandos, which My Bloody Valentine 3D director Todd Farmer is co-writing with Bradstreet, the whole situation is a long, long way from Frank Castle.
Farmer told Shock 'Til You Drop about the new project, which Jane will direct in 3D as well as star in. "Devil's Commandos is about a WWII commando unit sent on a rescue mission. Pretty straight forward. Except for the part where hell opens up and they have to fight Satan's army." Sounds pretty amazing, actually-- Call of Duty meets the finale of Hellboy 2!
And speaking of Hellboy, Jane is actually doing a directorial test-run before taking this project on, directing Ron Perlman and himself in The Dark Country, which sounds like a pretty nifty horror thriller. Not sure how that leads you to battling the forces of hell, but maybe Perlman will offer some advice before Jane gets to the set.

3D works for me in real life so why shouldn't it in movies? The new technology is great. Eventualy you'll be able to buy your own glasses and have prescriptions for them too.
All of that sounds good except for the 3D part. 3D gives me headaches and my eyes can't see it properly. I know I'll be able to see it at a normal theater, but another 3D movie means we are coming closer and closer to the inevitable future of all movies being strictly 3D.
Think I'm just being paranoid? Look up what Jeffrey Katzenberg and the Walt Disney Motion Picture Group President Mark Zoradi said about the future of the movie business. They want all films in 3D. I think that is b.s
