Thor Rides The Lightning In Latest Poster For The Dark World
Most expect to see a trailer for Marvelís Thor: The Dark World ahead of Iron Man 3 when it reaches theaters on May 3. So it makes sense that new marketing materials, like this brand new Thor poster, would start dropping now as details on the teaser begin to leak.
First, the poster, which was shared via Walt Disney Picturesís Facebook page for the sequel. Itís remarkably bright, given the fact that Thor (Chris Hemsworth) will be exploring some dark territories in the anticipated sequel. We donít get a whole lot besides the God of Thunder summoning bolts of lightning as he stares down a foe Ė which could be Loki (Tom Hiddleston) or Malekith (Christopher Eccleston). But itís a majestic pose for the son of Odin as he prepares for his close up in the first bit of footage we are about to see from The Dark World.
About that trailer. ScreenCrush quotes a Thor source as saying the trailer will drop April 23. Others have suggested that it will arrive on Thors-day, or April 25. Either way, it sounds like we might not have to wait all the way until a screening of Iron Man 3 until we see Thor in action.
Finally, the studio revealed an official synopsis for the sequel, which returns Hemsworth and his Thor cast for the next chapter in the Norse godís adventures. What do you hope to see in the movieís first trailer? Thor: The Dark World will be in theaters on Nov. 8.
