What happened to Thora Birch? After her amazing work in Ghost World she turned into a puff of smoke while Scarlett Johansson became the hottest actress in Hollywood (pun intended).

Well her vacation is over, next year she’s already slated to star in the rock and roll drama Vinyl. But right now she’s been signed to star opposite the underutilized Harry Connick Jr. in the movie Boomerang Deal, which will not star Eddie Murphy and feature a soundtrack by Boyz II Men.

Instead it’s a love story between a couple who can’t get along… but if they could would fall in love. Sort of like Batman’s relationship with Catwoman, minus the cool gadgets and fun with bullwhips. The Phillip Marzella written and directed film touts itself as taking place in a city reminiscent of Fellini, which is a pretty big claim for a movie that hasn’t even started shooting yet. But, since most American’s have never seen anything by Fellini, it’s not like we’ll know the difference.
