Ti West has a thing for haunted houses. Well, houses, cabins and hotels. The writer/director of both The House of the Devil and Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever is prepping for his next creeper, The Innkeepers. Arrangements were finalized at Sundance and West is officially set to reunite with his House of the Devil financer MPI Media Group’s Dark Sky Films. As reported by Variety, lensing will begin in Connecticut in the spring.

Cabin Fever 2 isn’t set to debut on DVD until February 16th, but if you caught House of the Devil in theaters in October, you know West has an unusual style as compared to the average gory slasher movie. So far, all we know about The Innkeepers is that it’s about the last two employees working at a haunted hotel doomed to go out of business and that West said it will be “truly terrifying.”

After being pleasantly surprised by House of the Devil, I can’t wait to see what West delivers next. This guy really knows what he’s doing and has the potential to bring us something particularly unique.
