Think you’re Titanic’s biggest fan? Claiming such a title over the last decade or so may not have earned you much more than a raised eyebrow or two, and may a few arguments from other fans claiming the same title, but now there’s a chance your fanaticism may actually earn you a really nice prize.

In anticipation of the upcoming 3D release of James Cameron’s Titanic in theaters this April, the Titanic Facebook Page is hosting a sweepstakes to give fans a chance to win a trip to London (by plane) and two tickets to the World Premiere of the film. Here’s the information released on the prize and how to enter.

The Titanic prize package includes:
Two tickets to the World Premiere in London on March 27
Roundtrip coach airfare from the U.S. or Canada for two
Three nights hotel stay
Passes to a  “hop-on-hop-off” city tour for two
Round-trip transfers to/from hotel while in London

Click “Enter”
Select a photo to submit either from your Facebook albums or from your desktop.
Fill out a short form with your contact information as well as a few words about the first time you saw Titanic.
No Purchase Necessary. Enter by 3/13/12. Open to US and Canadian (excluding Quebec) residents, age 13 and older. See Official Rules for details/restrictions.”



It may have been both browsers I tested it with, but I had to scroll down a bit to see the contest application on the ”Search For Biggest Fan” page. Fans are instructed to “upload your photo and story.” And if you want to see the entries, there’s an option to look (and like!), and see who’s in the lead among the user votes. But according to the rules, user votes are not what determines the winner, however they might play a part in how the winner is decided. And originality and the Titanic theme are taken into account. Per the rules, here’s how the winner will be chosen:

JUDGING/JUDGING CRITERIA: Once an Eligible Entry is uploaded, approved and made available on the Application, users of the Application will be invited to vote for the entries they like best. Users will only be allowed to cast one (1) vote per Eligible Entry per day. On or about March 14, 2012, the Eligible Entries will be judged by a judge(s) selected by the Promotion Entities (the "Judges") on a variety of elements weighted equally, including, but not limited to, relation to the theme of Titanic (50%) and originality (50%) ("Judging Criteria"), as well as taking into consideration the amount of user votes for an Eligible Entry, to determine the Grand Prize Winner.
