Tom Cruise Brings His Team Together For New Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol Poster
Tom Cruise may be the star of the Mission: Impossible franchise, but in the fourth entry - Ghost Protocol - he has one hell of a supporting team surrounding him. In addition to Simon Pegg, who returns for his second go-round as the risible Benji Dunn, Jeremy Renner and Paula Patton have also joined the hero Ethan Hunt in his mission (should he choose to accept it) to save the world from evil. Thus far the posters have really only shown off Cruise, but today the whole gang gets its due.
Paramount Pictures has released the new one-sheet for the upcoming action sequel. Check it out below or see it full size over on Yahoo!
While I like the idea behind this poster - it's very Reservoir Dogs - it's peculiar how much Tom Cruise stands out. While the three actors in the background look solid, Cruise looks like he has been Photoshopped in, and it's strange that a) he's not nearly as dust covered as the others and b) he's not wearing sunglasses. This is supposed to be a group shot, but it really doesn't play that way. The plot begins following an attack on the Kremlin in Moscow. When the IMF is blamed, Ethan Hunt and his team is forced to go underground and attempt to both clear their names and find out who is actually responsible for the bombings. The film also stars Tom Wilkinson, Josh Holloway, Michael Nyqvist, and Lea Seydoux. Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, directed by Brad Bird, hits theaters on December 21st, but will be premiering in IMAX theaters nationwide on December 16th.
