If you've seen Nicolas Winding Refn's Bronson, you know the kind of intensity that Tom Hardy can capture. When the man beefs up he doesn't so much walk as he does pace like a tiger trapped in a cage. Hence, when our own Katey Rich walked out of a screening of Warrior earlier this month her first reaction was "Are we sure Tom Hardy didn't fuse his DNA with a mountain lion's at some point? Dude is terrifying." Watching the first clip from the Gavin O'Connor film, it's easy to understand exactly what she means. Check it out below or in HD over on Yahoo!



Part of it may just be the set-up of the scene, watching the professional fighter take down his opponent brutally and having everyone laugh at Hardy when he steps up to the ring, but holy shit. From the opening kick to the throw-down to the mat, it would appear that the cool and slick Eames from last year's Inception has turned himself into a beast for this new film. If this is any indication of how he will be approaching Bane in The Dark Knight Rises, we should be in for a real treat.
